How to play

Seven questions, fifteen seconds per round, and time to read between rounds.

One familiar answer

Choose Daily or practice without signing in. Start each of seven rounds when you are ready, then type one English answer that fits the question. The first accepted answer settles the round. There is no speed bonus.

Fifteen seconds of answering time

The window starts when the question is ready in your browser. Submitting or skipping freezes your elapsed answering time, so network and processing waits do not consume it. If an answer is unlisted, the remaining time resumes when the response is ready. An action at exactly fifteen seconds is too late.

Retry, skip, or read

An answer outside the reviewed list may be retried while time remains. That message is not a judgment that your answer is objectively wrong. Blank or invalid input cannot score. Skip and timeout award zero. Read the round’s result and up to three leading answers before explicitly continuing. Feedback and explanations never start the next round.

Refresh does not reset the clock

Refreshing or leaving the page does not restart a round; background time counts. This browser stores the round clock and original pending request, including elapsed time, for safe recovery. A pending submission stays paused during reconnection. Keep this browser’s cookies, local storage and session storage available.

Daily follows UTC

Daily resets at 00:00 UTC. Each date has seven fixed question versions and one official game per browser identity. A game stays attached to its original date after midnight and expires at 00:00 UTC two dates later. For example, an October 23 game expires at October 25 00:00 UTC. Completing today’s official game unlocks a separate practice replay of the same questions. A missing Daily is unavailable, never replaced with random questions.

Practice and technical recovery

Practice draws from a separate question pool and expires 24 hours after creation. You can explicitly abandon it and start another game. A recorded technical abort of an official Daily can offer one recovery practice with the original questions. It is marked non-comparable, cannot restore official eligibility, and does not count toward the Daily streak or best ordinary practice score. A withdrawn challenge keeps its score but loses official comparability.

Finish, review, and share

After round seven, open your results and review every round. Sharing copies only mode, date when relevant, total score and seven score symbols with a clean entry link. It contains no questions, answers, input or private game link. Device statistics are local to this browser.
